The front desk for Homebase Skateshop, here in Bethlehem, PA. Made from reclaimed bleacher boards, as well as laminated glass and baltic birch drawer fronts. It was a large piece, and proved difficult to photograph, but it was enjoyable to make! Stop down to Homebase and check it out in action. You'll be impressed with the store as well.

Painted Lorenas

I made this set of painted grain Lorenas (wall mounted cacti and succulent planters) for myself this weekend. Forgot how time consuming this was. But very enjoyable when the Drifters are coming over the stereo.

A long time coming...

In a curveball move in my plan of which tools to buy and when, I recently bought a camera. I've found it difficult to be confident in my photos when I've been armed with nothing more than an iPhone and a few friends with cameras. The lighting here in the studio can be incredible, or nothing but artificial. And it's proven difficult to get decent quality photos. So I hope this purchase helps, and gets me to update this blog and my social media more often. (Please nag me if I don't come through on that.)

Here's some photos from around the studio.

Not the tidiest, but it's operational

Lee Fields!

The guy we asked to take our photo wasn't a fan of my friend, Gary.

Lee Fields and The Homie's Finger

Lee Fields and The Homie's Finger

What music plays the most in the studio? Lee Fields and the Expressions. Saw them last night in Philly with a few friends. If Lee and the band are ever close, I recommend you go see their show.
